Interviewer:                This is what your transcript will look like.  We typically do not transcribe ums, ahs, and stutters unless the client asks for them.  Most clients find this helpful to have them taken out.

Interviewee:                Any words that we can’t make out at all will be indicated with a __________ in your transcript.  The better the audio, the less likely there will be many inaudibles.  Any words that we can hear, but are not 100% sure of the spelling (names, jargon, etc.) will be put in red text the first time they appear so you can quickly spot them and make any necessary changes.

Interviewer:                As you can see from this sample, we single space the dialogue that each person speaks, but double space in between speakers with the text being indented for easy reading.
